The algorithm has matched more than half a million people to date, across 40 countries. It optimizes for long-term compatibility, based on valuesâbut itâs up to you to see if youâll click.
How it works:
Upon arrival, youâll take a matching questionnaire built by Matchbox's team of relationship scientists and curated by your host.
The Matchbox algorithm will identify your optimal match at the party, based on relationship science, AI, and Nobel Prize-winning economics.
After mingling with the whole group, matches are revealed!
What to expect:
The matching process is highly intentionalâcome with an open mind.
If your match isnât love at first sight, thatâs okay! The algorithm is designed for long-term compatibility, so at baseline, youâll be values-aligned.

Q: How does The Algorithm work?
A: The Matchbox Algorithm is designed to match you with someone youâre compatible with deep down. Itâs up to you to see if you click. But if you do, the long term is taken care of. The Algorithm will give you your best match at the eventâsubject to everyone else also needing to get exactly one match.
Q: What if I don't get a match?
A: We aim to maintain a 50/50 male-to-female ratio but cannot guarantee that all attendees will show up, as life happens. If there is an uneven split, some matches will be paired platonically.
