Three thousand singles ago, we were one room in Athens hoping somebody would say hello.
A year later, more than sixty nights have happened. Hikes that started before the city woke up. Padel lessons where nobody had held a racket. Ceramics, yoga, beach days, disco nights, pub crawls, run clubs and long dinners. Every one of them full of people who decided that meeting someone was worth leaving the house for.
So for our first birthday we are taking over Klakaz. If you have been out in this city for a while, you know this place. It used to be SixDogs.
Expect a large indoor space with a bar worth taking your time at, murals on the walls and colour in every seat. A garden that welcomes you with open arms, trees over your head and lights strung between the branches. It is a place built for moving, which is another way of saying it is built for meeting new people.
200+ singles and the whole venue to ourselves. Icebreakers designed to take the first line off your hands. Specials at the bar. A DJ on from the first hour to the last, and somewhere in the middle of it all, one show we are not naming yet. The rest of the surprises stay with us until you are through the door.
This night is our thank you. For a year of trust, for every sold out night, and for everyone who walked in on their own not knowing a single face in the room.
Come on your own, the way most people do. Bring a friend if you would rather walk in with someone. Either way you will leave having met people you were not expecting.
